Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting and Program Director

Responsibilities

• Teach in-seat financial accounting courses, including Intermediate Accounting, Advanced Accounting, and Auditing, with potential for hybrid or online instruction
• Serve as Program Director, overseeing program and course design, development, and assessment
• Mentor students through professional organizations and engage in networking with community professionals
• Provide academic advising to students within the accounting program
• Conduct scholarly activity consistent with ACBSP accreditation standards
• Participate in university service through committee membership and institutional governance

Requirements

• Master's degree required
• CPA license or at least 18 graduate hours in accounting
• Academic expertise in financial accounting
• Significant professional experience in financial accounting or auditing
• Record of applied scholarship
• Ability to utilize appropriate technology for course development and delivery

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate degree
• Experience teaching in multiple modalities (in-seat, hybrid, and online)
• Proven ability to engage students in professional and career preparation
