Assistant or Associate Professor and Program Director of Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling curriculum for the new Ruskin, Florida campus
• Establish initial relationships with clinical placement sites to support student training
• Prepare the program to comply with CACREP accreditation standards as a secondary location
• Engage in student recruitment, graduate-level teaching, and academic advising
• Manage program administration, including assessment, budget management, and CACREP reporting
• Participate in departmental, college, and university committees and service activities
• Engage in active scholarship in the counseling field in accordance with the Boyer Model of Scholarship

Requirements

• Earned doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision (must be completed by time of appointment)
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching within a higher education setting
• Ability to support and promote the University’s inclusive Mission and Catholic identity
• Ability to meet the physical demands of a busy academic environment and necessary travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensure as a Professional Counselor, or the ability to obtain licensure in Florida within one year of hire
• Proficiency in curriculum design, program administration, and program evaluation
• Extensive knowledge of CACREP accreditation requirements and processes
• Experience in student instruction and academic advising
