About the Company

ZHD Stevedores is a family business that operates 24/7 port terminals in the seaport of Dordrecht and Moerdijk. Their services include the transshipment of cargo (bulk goods, breakbulk, and containers) and the provision of (covered) storage.

Responsibilities

• Functional management of foremen
• Follow up on daily operational activities across all terminals
• Identify operational deviations, risks, and bottlenecks and respond proactively
• Monitor safety, order, cleanliness, and compliance with legal regulations
• Check productivity, quality, and progress of work
• Assist in process optimization and efficiency improvements
• Report operational performance, incidents, and improvement points to the Logistics Manager
• Oversee the efficient use of sites, storage facilities, equipment, employees, and overtime
• Proactively apply and develop quality management systems
• Promote a positive, safe, and professional working atmosphere
• Organize and conduct toolbox meetings

Requirements

• Completed HBO degree and knowledge of operational business processes
• Affinity with teamwork and relevant work experience
• Relevant professional knowledge or ability to acquire it within a reasonable timeframe
• Proactive and problem-solving approach
• Flexible attitude and stress resistance
• Willingness to follow relevant training and courses
