About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the newsroom’s editorial vision and daily multiplatform content strategy across broadcast, streaming, digital, and social platforms.
- Drive impactful storytelling with an emphasis on enterprise reporting, breaking news, and community-focused journalism.
- Coach and mentor producers, reporters, anchors, and digital teams to elevate writing and production quality.
- Collaborate with content and streaming teams to maximize reach and strengthen cross-platform storytelling.
- Monitor audience trends and Nielsen ratings to inform editorial decisions and content strategy.
- Support daily newsroom operations, including staffing coordination, schedule planning, and overtime oversight.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in television news leadership roles (e.g., Assistant News Director, Executive Producer, or Senior Producer).
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Strong editorial judgment and experience leading multiplatform news coverage in fast-paced environments.
- Deep understanding of Nielsen ratings, audience behaviors, and content performance metrics.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
