Assistant Men’s Wrestling Coaching Instructor

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Head Wrestling Coaching Instructor to organize programs and implement practice and meet plans.
• Facilitate practice sessions, including implementing drills and offering input on meet strategies.
• Support the recruitment of prospective student-athletes and track progress through the Slate system.
• Assist in monitoring student-athlete academic progress and organizing study tables to ensure compliance with NCAA and university standards.
• Provide administrative support, including travel arrangements, equipment care, and facility preparation.
• Support both the men's and women's wrestling programs as directed.
• Mentor student-athletes regarding proper conduct, decorum, and sportsmanship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Collegiate wrestling experience as a student-athlete.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Current certifications in CPR and AED.
• Ability to demonstrate the physical movements of the sport.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of one year of collegiate coaching experience or two years of successful high school or club coaching experience.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate students and provide positive leadership.
• Experience with competitive teams and teaching fundamental wrestling techniques.
