Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach

Responsibilities

• Instruct and coach the men's lacrosse team, managing practices, competitions, and scheduling
• Evaluate and recruit qualified student-athletes and develop comprehensive recruiting plans
• Monitor the academic progress and grades of student-athletes to ensure retention and success
• Manage a fiscally sound budget and develop fundraising initiatives to support the program
• Coordinate travel arrangements for the team and recruiting efforts
• Assist with alumni relations and build community support for the program
• Cooperate with athletic training, maintenance, and transportation staff
• Adhere to all rules and regulations set by the College, MIAA, and NCAA

Requirements

• Collegiate level playing and/or coaching experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency with computer applications and strong organizational abilities
• Experience in event planning, camps, and fundraising
• Demonstrated ability in recruiting and financial management
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and travel as required
• Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of NCAA and MIAA conference rules
• Experience working in a residential campus environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and a public service orientation
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
• Experience working with underrepresented, first-generation, and Pell-eligible populations
