Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

Responsibilities

• Design and execute practice plans to elevate individual and team performance
• Identify, recruit, and retain top-tier student-athletes who meet academic and competitive standards
• Mentor and coach student-athletes using a holistic approach to support personal and athletic growth
• Analyze scouting reports and opponent tendencies to contribute to game strategy and tactical preparation
• Support academic achievement and prioritize student-athlete welfare and degree completion
• Build strong relationships with staff, alumni, media, and the broader Cyclone community
• Adhere to all University, Conference, and NCAA policies and regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience coaching or competing in basketball at a highly competitive level (post high school)
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated skill in recruiting high-caliber student-athletes with connections in the Wisconsin region
• Experience coaching and developing players at a successful NCAA or professional men's basketball program
• Experience coaching and recruiting for a men's NCAA Division I program
