Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and development in basketball-specific skills, team concepts, and physical conditioning
• Identify and recruit talented, academically qualified prospective student-athletes
• Support the holistic development of student-athletes through mentorship in personal growth and academic success
• Assist with planning and implementing practices, competitions, and film analysis
• Monitor and support academic progress of student-athletes to exceed athletic department standards
• Assist with budget management, fundraising, travel planning, and program organization
• Perform assigned duties related to maintaining the Athletics department, including equipment and game management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least three years of experience playing and/or coaching basketball
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work evenings and weekends
• Ability to travel locally and occasionally nationally

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• Experience recruiting student-athletes
