Assistant Men's and Women's Track & Field Coach

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement event-specific training and competition planning for individual athletes and event groups
• Contribute to the technical and tactical development of student-athletes, emphasizing skill progression, teamwork, and character
• Foster a positive team environment that aligns with the values and vision of the Gustavus Track & Field program
• Assist with recruiting efforts, including evaluating prospective student-athletes and participating in on-campus visits
• Maintain compliance with NCAA Division III, MIAC, and Gustavus policies and procedures
• Demonstrate leadership, sportsmanship, and professionalism while working cooperatively with the coaching staff

Requirements

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Previous experience as a coach or a former college athlete
• Ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with student-athletes and staff
• Knowledge of, and ability to comply with, NCAA Division III and MIAC regulations
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel with the team as required
