Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach with the overall management of the Men’s Basketball program
• Organize and direct practice sessions to enhance team performance
• Manage recruiting strategies through scouting, attending tournaments, and conducting home visits
• Develop and enforce consistent discipline policies and codes of conduct for players
• Coordinate with the Head Coach on strategic meetings before and during the season
• Assist in fundraising efforts through the development of camps, clinics, and other activities
• Provide administrative support for game operations, team communication, and hospitality
• Ensure safety and the proper teaching of skills and techniques to student-athletes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of coaching experience (experience as a graduate assistant or intern may be considered)
• Valid driver's license
• CPR and AED Certification
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally for equipment and setup
• Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, including travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in intercollegiate athletic program administration
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and higher education technology suites
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
