Assistant Medical Director

Responsibilities

• Support the Regional Medical Director as the local medical lead for the assigned clinic
• Execute Regional Medical Director’s initiatives and priorities at the assigned location
• Manage a team of Providers to ensure high standards of care and patient experience
• Perform medical evaluations and formulate treatment plans for urgent and emergent care
• Partner with Medical Operations to ensure efficient center running and robust staffing
• Lead by example and relay organizational updates or policy changes to the team
• Ensure accurate patient records in AthenaHealth EHR
• Collaborate with Medical Partners, Aftercare, and Care Navigation teams for referrals
• Coordinate with Medical Operations for timely access to imaging and lab tests
• Conduct performance reviews and assist in hiring quality Providers

Requirements

• Medical Degree from an accredited university
• Physician state license for California
• Completion of Emergency Medicine residency
• Emergency medicine board certification
• 2+ years post-residency experience in emergency department or urgent care
• Previous leadership experience
• DEA license

Preferred Qualifications

• Secondary board certifications in internal medicine or pediatrics
