Assistant MECK Pre-K Teacher

Responsibilities

• Implement and model strategies and teaching tools related to academics, social-emotional, and behavioral needs to promote growth for all learners
• Follow program guidelines, childcare regulations, and best practices to ensure a safe and age-appropriate environment
• Implement the Creative Curriculum to fidelity
• Complete ongoing assessments and regularly collect valid documentation
• Encourage family participation and provide consistent communication to promote partnerships
• Attend and participate in all MECK Pre-K and site-specific professional development

Requirements

• Associate degree in early childhood education or higher
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods (at least 90% of the day)
• Ability to see, hear, and respond to children's needs, including stooping, sitting on the floor, and moving quickly to respond to children
