Assistant Manager/Workshop Controller

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bodyshop Manager in overseeing workshop operations and ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met
• Plan resource and equipment levels around budgets and financial plans
• Maintain consistent workflow through effective capacity planning and workshop loading
• Review site KPI performance, average repair cost targets, and customer service scores
• Manage customer complaints from initial contact through to conclusion, including root cause analysis
• Liaise with office logistics staff to monitor vehicle intake and repair progress
• Monitor workshop output, efficiencies, and material wastage targets
• Ensure Health and Safety compliance and proper use of personal protection equipment
• Explain repair procedures to workshop staff and customers
• Value vehicles to determine repairable economics and prevent damage to customer vehicles

Requirements

• Ability to negotiate effectively with third parties and customers
• Strong attention to detail
• Understanding of the repair industry, vehicle legislation, and trade practices
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, EPA provisions, and Risk Assessment
• Computer literate with leadership and coaching attributes
• Knowledge of repair processes and vehicle construction
• Ability to work under pressure
