Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager - Sourcing & Vendor Development (Packaging)

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and vendor development for packaging materials including corrugated boxes, BOPP tapes, EPE foam, and blister packaging
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new packaging vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery requirements
• Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and alternate sourcing initiatives
• Negotiate commercials and lock rate contracts to ensure competitive procurement
• Coordinate with Quality, Production, and SCM teams for packaging trials and approvals
• Manage vendor performance regarding OTIF delivery, quality compliance, and sustainability
• Ensure materials comply with industry standards, strength tests, and regulatory requirements
• Handle procurement documentation, PO creation, and supplier dashboards

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in packaging sourcing or vendor development
• Mandatory experience in the Consumer Appliances industry (AC, refrigerator, washing machine, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of corrugated, EPE, BOPP, and blister structural packaging
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
• Strong understanding of packaging quality parameters and testing methods
• Strong analytical and documentation skills
