Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager – Sourcing & Vendor Development

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities for Fasteners and at least one additional category such as plastics, sheet metal, or electronics
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers through audits covering cost, quality, and capacity
• Manage RFQ processes, price negotiations, rate contracts, and long-term agreements
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and value engineering projects
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, SCM, and Production teams for material qualification and trials
• Monitor vendor performance regarding pricing, quality consistency, and OTIF delivery
• Develop sourcing strategies to ensure supply assurance and mitigate risks

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in Sourcing or Vendor Development
• Mandatory hands-on experience in Fasteners sourcing (screws, bolts, nuts, washers, rivets)
• Experience in additional categories like plastics, sheet metal, casting, electronics, or packaging
• Must have experience specifically within the Consumer Appliances industry
• Strong understanding of technical drawings, BOM, tolerances, and costing
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills
