Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager – Buying

Responsibilities

• Translate monthly production plans into required raw material (RM) and packaging material (PM) quantities
• Manage day-to-day ordering and delivery processes to ensure supply chain continuity
• Analyze master production schedules to establish optimal inventory levels and prevent shortages or excess
• Identify supply shortages or logistics risks and develop effective mitigation plans
• Utilize ERP systems to maintain data accuracy and generate KPI reports on vendor performance and inventory turnover
• Partner with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to align material flow with business goals
• Resolve supply chain disruptions, material defects, or schedule changes to prevent production downtime

Requirements

• Graduate degree (BE/B-Tech) plus a Master's or MBA in Supply Chain or Operations Management
• 4–5 years of professional experience in supply chain, inventory control, or production planning
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, specifically SAP S4 HANA
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong ability to forecast demand and interpret supply chain metrics
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication abilities
