Assistant Manager, Visitor Welcome

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day visitor and member experiences, focusing on membership sales, renewals, and upgrades
• Supervise, train, and schedule front-of-house staff and volunteers to ensure high service standards
• Resolve customer service issues, complaints, and inquiries to maintain a positive visitor experience
• Coordinate the Visitor Welcome Volunteer Program, including recruitment, screening, and training
• Maintain database accuracy within Tessitura by managing member information and verifying reports
• Collaborate with internal departments like Group Sales and the Contact Centre to facilitate smooth gallery operations

Requirements

• At least two years of managerial experience in customer service, hospitality, or a museum/gallery environment
• Post-secondary education in a related field
• Proven experience in membership sales, fundraising, or front-of-house best practices
• Proficiency with Tessitura and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends
