Assistant Manager - VAT COE

Responsibilities

• Manage the global VAT return process, including preparation and filing in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with the Global Tax team, Controllers, and other stakeholders to provide necessary information and clarifications.
• Partner with Big4 and other consulting firms to align filing requirements with local regulatory deadlines.
• Develop entity-wise VAT compliance plans and monitor the status of returns across global markets.
• Support the Global Tax team during tax audits by providing documentation and assistance.
• Manage VAT ledger reconciliation processes and ensure compliance with SOX standards.
• Implement standardized procedures and identify opportunities for process improvement across functions.

Requirements

• CA/CPA qualified professional.
• Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in the Indirect Tax domain.
• Strong knowledge of Indirect Tax and VAT principles with high attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, take ownership of performance, and build stakeholder relationships.
• Strong analytical and financial skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a Big4 audit firm.
• Knowledge of NetSuite ERP systems.
