Assistant Manager - VAT COE

Responsibilities

• Manage the GST returns process for the group’s Indian entities, including preparation and filing in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with the Global Tax team, controllers, and other stakeholders to provide necessary information and clarifications.
• Work closely with external consultants (Big4) to ensure all filings meet local regulatory deadlines and requirements.
• Develop and execute entity-wise comprehensive plans for tax compliance in alignment with internal teams.
• Monitor and report on the status of GST returns and assist the Global Tax team with GST audits in India.
• Manage the reconciliation process for VAT ledgers to ensure compliance with SOX standards.
• Implement standardized procedures and practices across regional markets to drive process efficiency.

Requirements

• CA/CPA qualification.
• Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in the Indirect Tax or GST domain.
• Strong technical knowledge of Indirect Tax and VAT principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working at a Big4 Audit firm.
• Proficiency with NetSuite.
