About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver client projects focused on carbon emissions accounting, financial impact modelling, and decarbonisation strategies.
- Assist clients in determining and disclosing carbon footprints, including data collection, emissions calculation, and inventory process improvements.
- Analyse and interpret the financial impacts of climate-related matters, including assessment and modelling for AASB S2.
- Develop practical decarbonisation strategies, emissions reduction initiatives, and transition plans across operations and value chains.
- Help clients set decarbonisation commitments and emissions reduction targets to embed into business planning.
- Manage end-to-end client engagements, including workshop facilitation and presentations.
- Contribute to business development by understanding client needs and developing proposals.
- Lead, train, and coach junior team members within the practice.
Requirements
- Technical background in accounting, sustainability, environmental science, engineering, finance, or economics.
- Proven experience in emissions accounting, measurement, and delivering decarbonisation or transition planning projects.
- Working knowledge of recognised frameworks such as GHG Protocol, PCAF, SBTi, CDP, and AASB S2.
- Strong quantitative and data analytics skills, including the ability to develop financial impact and emissions reduction models.
- Experience in project management, including managing multiple engagements, budgets, and resources.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience facilitating workshops and delivering presentations to senior clients.
