Assistant Manager

Responsibilities

• Ensure the chemical laboratory management system complies with ISO/IEC 17025, INACAL guidelines, and laboratory procedures
• Monitor and close actions in the weekly tracking matrix regarding safety, environment, health, quality, and operations
• Manage corrective and improvement actions for quality and operational performance
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality guidelines during operations
• Prepare documentation and technical reports
• Report emergency situations affecting worker safety, result quality, or laboratory integrity
• Manage resources to ensure operational continuity
• Oversee personnel authorization processes and follow-ups
• Plan and develop short and medium-term plans to optimize analysis procedures
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement in quality, safety, and environmental processes

Requirements

• Degree in Pure Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering (must be licensed and active)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in laboratory management
• More than 4 years of experience in sampling processes
• Experience in operation and maintenance management of laboratory equipment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Minitab
• Intermediate English level
• Knowledge of ISO 17025, ISO 12743, ISO 10251, and ISO 11794 standards
• Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
• Knowledge of metallurgical testing and mineral processing
