Assistant Manager - SCM

Responsibilities

• Execute procurement processes, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis
• Manage the purchase of goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure optimal terms
• Prepare purchase orders, approve payments, and negotiate pricing under general guidance
• Monitor contract performance to ensure full compliance with contractual obligations
• Coordinate with suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve shortages or delays
• Respond to client inquiries regarding order status, changes, or cancellations
• Compile price proposals, financial reports, and data to support pricing decisions

Requirements

• BE or Master's Degree
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain or Procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in SAP
• Strong data management skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Understanding of contractual terms and conditions
• Knowledge of aerospace drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes
• Ability to communicate and present effectively to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Lean Principles
• APICS or ISM certifications (e.g., CPIM, CPM, CSCP, CPSM)
• Experience developing and managing supplier relationships
• Knowledge of export regulations and policies to ensure compliance
