Assistant Manager - SAP Basis & Security

Responsibilities

• Manage SAP audits by ensuring representation, tracking, and closure of audit observations across the managed estate.
• Execute SAP patch management and stay updated on security notes and emerging threats to apply corrective measures within SLAs.
• Perform vulnerability management by reviewing reports from scanning tools like Qualys and WIZ and conducting impact analysis.
• Ensure strict adherence to SAP and Database baseline controls and manage security exceptions.
• Oversee SAP Access Management, including FFID management and Joiner-Leaver-Mover processes.
• Maintain compliance with SOX, GDPR, and ISO 27001 standards to ensure audit readiness.
• Manage vendor relationships and drive multiple initiatives related to assurance and compliance.
• Support the SAP Technical Security agenda across multiple geographies and system flavors.

Requirements

• Proven exposure to SAP BASIS and Security Management.
• Experience in a Team Lead position managing a landscape or similar program.
• Experience supporting mission-critical systems in a 24/7 environment.
• Strong knowledge of OS-level hardening and infrastructure security.
• Proficiency with database technologies including DB2, S/4HANA, or Oracle DB.
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Understanding of security frameworks like CIS, NIST, or ISO 27001.
• Strong analytical skills for log analysis, vulnerability assessment, and incident response.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
• SAP-specific security certifications.
• Project Management certifications (PMP or Prince2) and ITIL certification.
• Awareness of AI security and the ability to assess risks in AI-driven systems.
