About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to support hotel goals
- Achieve market share and revenue goals by directing group and transient sales
- Analyze sales and market statistics to determine profitability and market opportunities
- Negotiate and close contracts with key customers
- Maintain up-to-date administrative records of all sales activity using Fidelio, Sales and Catering, and Maximiser
- Represent the hotel at relevant industry trade shows and events
- Monitor market and competitor activity to identify sales opportunities
- Collaborate with Reservation Services to maximize revenue from WRS
Requirements
- Proven sales and negotiation skills within the hotel industry
- Ability to develop and manage departmental budgets
- Experience in revenue forecasting and yield management
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to motivate and coach team members for high performance
- Proficiency in hotel management software such as Fidelio or Maximiser
