Assistant Manager - Residential Operations

Responsibilities

• Manage the strategic and operational aspects of residential facilities to ensure safe and high-quality environments.
• Oversee maintenance planning, facilities operations, and vendor coordination.
• Implement preventative maintenance, risk mitigation, and sustainability initiatives in collaboration with the Facilities Management Department.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Support staff supervision, training, and the development of on-call structures.
• Manage departmental budgets and resources to deliver efficient services.
• Lead crisis response efforts and ensure operational continuity.
• Collaborate with students, faculty, and external contractors to uphold residential standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Facilities Management, or Operations Management.
• 3-5 years of experience in facilities management, specifically including support for residential facilities.
• Proven experience in leading facilities or operations management.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Bilingualism or fluency in Arabic is essential.
• Strong ability to use technology and platforms for administrative management and decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and communicate effectively with a diverse group of colleagues and students.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Law, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Professional accreditation in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA, MEFMA).
• 3-5 years of administrative experience within a university environment or residence life operations.
