Assistant Manager Quality

Responsibilities

• Manage Quality Management Systems (QMS) by creating and reviewing documents such as Control plans, SOPs, and checklists in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
• Conduct internal and external audits, including product, process, and AAR audits.
• Drive a "Zero Defect" approach and foster a "First Time Right" quality culture on the manufacturing channel.
• Implement quality tools including PFMEA, MSA, and process capability improvements.
• Lead scrap, loss, and rework reduction projects using A3 problem solving, Kaizen, and Daily Management tools.
• Manage customer quality by representing the factory during audits and driving 8D problem-solving processes and CAPA effectiveness.
• Oversee metrology lab operations, including calibration management and measurement services.

Requirements

• B.E. or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4–10 years of relevant experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and internal auditing standards.
• Proficiency in Quality Techniques (QT) such as FMEA, MSA, and Process Capability.
• Hands-on NDT skills, specifically UT (Ultrasonic Testing) and MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection).
• Expertise in Six Sigma and A3 Problem Solving methodologies.
• Experience with Engineering Change Management and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of SKF product lines and their specific industrial applications.
• Proficiency in Project Management and its application to business processes.
• Familiarity with various Six Sigma methodologies, such as DMAIC.
