Assistant Manager, Quality Control & Diagnosis

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed diagnosis and assessment of inbound jewelry repairs from customers and boutiques
• Evaluate and diagnose time of sale (TOS) adjustments required for jewelry products
• Perform detailed QC assessments of all high jewelry manufactured in the workshop
• Prepare comprehensive recommendations for adjustments or repairs based on diagnostic findings
• Conduct quality control reviews on outbound jewelry products to ensure they meet Maison standards
• Complete QC reviews and diagnosis of in-transit jewelry and high jewelry pieces entering or departing the U.S.
• Document all diagnostic findings, recommendations, and quality control assessments accurately
• Complete ad hoc projects and support as needed, such as events and report preparation

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in jewelry inspection and quality control (repairs, alterations, or manufacturing)
• Experience with diagnostic tools including loupes, microscopes, gauges, cameras, and Synth Detect testers
• Strong understanding of jewelry materials, stones, production processes, and quality standards
• Acute attention to detail with the ability to identify defects or imperfections
• Ability to analyze jewelry aesthetics, technical methods, and proportions
• Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and quality management software systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical information

Preferred Qualifications

• GIA Graduate Gemologist or Graduate Diamond certification
• Degree in Jewelry Design, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Fluency in spoken French
