Assistant Manager - PTP (Account Payable/Invoice/Payment)

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Purchase to Pay (PTP) function, including Accounts Payable, expenses, payments, and month-end closing processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording and payment of vendor invoices, statutory payments, employee claims, and intercompany transactions.
• Manage and monitor PTP processes to ensure compliance with SLAs, KPIs, and company policies.
• Lead and develop the PTP team through task assignment, performance appraisals, coaching, and knowledge transfer.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process automation and system enhancements.
• Act as the first level of escalation for daily operational issues and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the transition of operating company activities to the WPP Shared Service Centre.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance & Accounting or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in a similar role or as an Assistant Manager in a shared services environment.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts and SOX Compliance norms.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience using ERP systems.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle high-volume tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a Shared Service Centre (SSC).
• Familiarity with Office 365.
