Assistant Manager, Property Lines

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite property insurance submissions in accordance with company policies and risk appetite
• Analyze risk characteristics, loss history, and exposure data to determine appropriate terms, conditions, and pricing
• Review and approve risks within delegated authority and escalate complex cases as needed
• Monitor and report on production figures, including new business, renewals, and retention rates
• Identify and pursue opportunities for portfolio growth and improvement
• Assist in training and mentoring junior underwriters and providing technical guidance to the team
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and clients
• Ensure strict adherence to all fire-related policies, regulatory frameworks, and internal SOPs
• Maintain compliance with local insurance regulations, including AML and KYC requirements

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in property insurance underwriting
• Proven exposure to production management
• Proven track record of achieving production and profitability targets
• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business, Finance, or a related field
• Proficiency in insurance systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional insurance qualifications such as CPCU or ACII
