About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project execution, including scope definition, planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of plant equipment such as mixers, pumps, reactors, and packaging lines.
- Manage civil and infrastructure projects, including warehouse design, racking systems, and building expansions.
- Review and interpret technical documentation such as P&IDs and as-built drawings.
- Plan and execute plant shutdowns and turnarounds within tight timelines.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Maintenance, and Procurement.
- Manage vendors and contractors effectively to ensure project success.
- Ensure strict adherence to EHS standards, chemical safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive the Management of Change (MOC) process to ensure all project modifications are documented and approved.
- Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation plans to prevent delays or cost overruns.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience within chemical or continuous process industries.
- B.Tech in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of plant equipment (mixers, pumps, reactors, filling/packing machines) and material handling systems.
- Hands-on experience in civil projects, warehouse design, and racking systems.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar project management tools.
- Strong understanding of chemical plant safety, PSSR, DRA, and gate review processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
