Assistant Manager Production Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 support for Switch-related production environments, including transaction switching systems and related applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to transaction switching, card payment systems, or banking network integrations
• Monitor Switch system performance to ensure high availability and stability
• Analyze logs, transaction records, and system alerts to proactively identify issues
• Act as the primary point of contact for critical production incidents and manage resolution using standard operating procedures
• Assist in deploying updates, patches, and fixes to production systems
• Create and maintain operational documentation, including troubleshooting guides and runbooks
• Collaborate with Development, Network, and Infrastructure teams for root cause analysis
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements like PCI-DSS

Requirements

• 2 to 3+ years of experience in production support
• Proficiency in Core Java
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience in application support or production support
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts or weekend rotations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Postilion Switch, Postilion Realtime, or Office switch
• Familiarity with ISO8583, transaction flows, HSM, and other EFT formats
• Experience in payment switching or financial services (EMV, card transactions)
• Hands-on experience with transaction switch platforms such as ACI or Postilion
• Knowledge of networking protocols like TCP/IP and HTTP
• Proficiency in database management (Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server)
• Experience with monitoring tools
