Assistant Manager - Production

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute production activities to meet supply chain requirements with maximum efficiency and minimum cost
• Manage production processes for both powder and liquid formulations
• Ensure accurate accounting of raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished goods using ERP/AX9
• Maintain minimum stock levels as defined by the supply chain department
• Implement and maintain 5S systems and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
• Follow all EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) policies and use required safety equipment
• Coach and guide employees and contractors to meet production targets safely
• Improve batch cycle times through the application of Lean practices
• Oversee the operation of mixers, dissolvers, packing machines, chillers, and compressors

Requirements

• BE or BTech in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• 8 to 10 years of experience in Specialty Chemicals, Paint, or Construction Chemicals industries
• Strong understanding of powder and liquid formulation processes
• Proficiency in ERP/AX9 systems
• Practical knowledge of Mixers, Dissolvers, and Packing Machines
• Familiarity with 5S, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional degree or diploma in Material Planning or Safety
• Experience with HMI and SCADA process automation
