Assistant Manager - Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive plant-level process improvements to reduce cycle times and improve OEE.
• Execute new product development (NPD) to ensure process design meets SKF specifications.
• Introduce new cutting tools and abrasives for grinding, turning, and honing to improve output and reduce costs.
• Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, and other documentation for new and existing products.
• Lead machine qualification processes using FAT and SAT techniques.
• Manage change management through Engineering Change Requests (ECR).
• Develop tooling requirements for grinding, honing, and assembly processes using SMED concepts.
• Drive new channel development and machine installation projects, including layouts and automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.
• Sound knowledge of Grinding, Turning, Honing, and Assembly processes.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM systems, including 3D modeling (Creo) and 2D modeling (AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of Process Flow diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plan, and MSA.
• Experience with Machine Qualification techniques (FAT/SAT).

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to advanced manufacturing techniques, digitization, and robotics.
• Experience with low-cost automation.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and learning agility.
