About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the Global Investment Compliance Team by reviewing, analyzing, and advising on investment guidelines for institutional and retail products
- Investigate and resolve post-trade violations, including performing root-cause analysis of daily compliance alerts and warnings
- Classify compliance breaches, report them to relevant stakeholders, and track resolutions in line with internal policies
- Perform regulatory breach reviews relating to UCITS, SICAV, MPF, and Investment Company Act of 1940 requirements
- Coordinate with Portfolio Managers and Investment Specialists to investigate and resolve fund-level breaches
- Execute manual compliance monitoring activities and manual test execution for items not supported by automated systems
- Enhance compliance monitoring by reducing false positives and improving automated monitoring processes
- Liaise with global Investment Compliance colleagues, Legal, Product, and Client Service teams to ensure accurate implementation of restrictions
- Prepare and maintain documentation to evidence reviews and demonstrate robust processes for breach management
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in the investment management industry, preferably in investment compliance
- Proven experience in investment compliance guideline monitoring
- Strong knowledge of Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivatives
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks including UCITS, SICAV, MPF, and the Investment Company Act of 1940
- Excellent problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
- Strong business-level verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a positive team player
Preferred Qualifications
- CFA or FRM designation
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Commerce
- Experience with rule coding for compliance monitoring systems
