Assistant Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of up to 25 associates to ensure efficient claims review
• Monitor and drive individual productivity and quality standards to meet project goals
• Conduct monthly analyst evaluations and develop improvement plans for team members
• Identify training needs and facilitate necessary training sessions for the team
• Analyze quality results to identify error trends and root causes for defect reduction
• Manage staffing ratios and resolve production problems to maintain workflow continuity
• Communicate critical issues to management to ensure timely resolution of claim review impediments

Requirements

• Medical degree (BHMS, BAMS, BUMS, BPT, MPT, or B.Sc. Nursing)
• AAPC Certified Coder (CPC certification only)
• 2+ years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry
• 1+ years of specialty coding experience (e.g., E&M, surgery, anesthesia) if not a medical graduate
• Proven experience in team leadership, performance management, and coaching
• Strong analytical, numeracy, and project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
