Assistant Manager - Operations (US Tax Returns)

Responsibilities

• Assign and monitor work allocation to ensure timely and accurate delivery of US tax returns
• Resolve technical queries and provide mentorship to team members
• Manage people-related responsibilities including performance oversight and team engagement
• Coordinate staff scheduling and workload planning with management
• Act as the primary point of contact for client expectations and requirements
• Proactively resolve customer issues and complaints to improve experience
• Prepare and maintain MIS reports for management review
• Communicate operating policies and updates during department meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (M.Com, CA, CPA, or EA preferred)
• 10+ years of overall professional experience
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in US Individual and Business Tax Returns
• Strong understanding of US tax concepts, practices, and procedures
• Proficiency in tax software and MS Office tools
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
