Assistant Manager Operations Contract Logistics

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of logistics operation processes and SOPs while managing project milestones.
• Strategically manage warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance.
• Design application solutions and document detailed business requirements to meet implementation needs.
• Optimize warehouse layouts to ensure efficient space utilization and enforce optimal operational policies.
• Oversee staff management, including recruiting, coaching, motivating, and planning work rotas.
• Ensure compliance with all warehousing, handling, shipping legislation, health, safety, and security standards.
• Collaborate with sales teams to provide logistics process responses for RFPs and RFQs.
• Continuously re-engineer logistics processes to improve service quality for clients.
• Evaluate and source sub-contractor capabilities to ensure alignment with company compliance standards.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent.
• Fluency in English.
• At least 8 years of experience in warehouse operations and supply chain management.
• Proven experience working within a global multi-national organization.
• Strong expertise in project management methodologies and processes.
• Extensive knowledge of Contract Logistics business services.
• Experience in client presentations regarding project progress, delivery, and technology capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Warehouse Manager.
• Deep expertise in warehouse management procedures, best practices, and KPIs.
• Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Demonstrated ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
