Assistant Manager, Ocean Operations

Responsibilities

• Achieve high standards of quality ensuring shipments move on-time and exceptions are handled appropriately
• Ensure work satisfies internal KPIs and SLAs for quality delivery
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Solve client issues quickly and ensure smooth operations at origin and destination
• Coordinate day-to-day logistics operations with ocean carriers, cartage partners, customs, and warehouses
• Execute end-to-end movement of freight within a regional network

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 5 years of global forwarding or related work experience
• 4+ years of industry experience in Ocean Freight, import compliance, or Warehousing
• Proficient in MS Office or Google apps
• Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and planning skills
