Assistant Manager, Market Development & Planning

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of the Writing Segment’s 3-year strategy and annual brand plans
• Analyze customer strategies, financial reports, and market data to identify growth opportunities
• Assist in tracking progress against sales goals, risks, and opportunities
• Support assortment planning by analyzing product performance and customer needs
• Partner with Brand Marketing and Finance to support pricing and promotional analysis
• Assist with demand forecasting inputs and preparation for monthly S&OP reviews
• Support the preparation of customer meetings and negotiations by gathering data and insights
• Help develop sales stories and presentations for key segment initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in sales, sales support, market planning, brand, category, or analytics roles
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
• Foundational financial acumen and interest in P&L management
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 15%

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to CPG, durable goods, or retail environments
• Experience or coursework involving data analysis, POS data, or business reporting
• Ability to work effectively within a matrixed organization
