Assistant Manager

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to exceed daily sales goals and ensure an inclusive customer experience
• Educate customers and staff on brand values including ethical buying and fighting animal testing
• Provide product recommendations through deep product knowledge
• Support the Shop Manager in all business areas and pick up manager duties as required
• Lead and motivate the team on the sales floor to meet sales goals
• Support recruitment, hiring, and succession planning
• Manage shop compliance, including opening/closing, health and safety, and product integrity
• Oversee stock, inventory, and visual merchandising standards
• Manage staff scheduling, time, and attendance

Requirements

• 1-3 years of managing or supervising in a retail environment
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Strong customer service, supervisory, and sales skills
• Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business
• Ability to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings, and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with consultation-based customer service models
• Ability to develop and train staff through positive coaching
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Basic HR skills in hiring, scheduling, and performance management
• Experience in cross-cultural collaboration or DEIB training
• Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages
