About the role
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to exceed daily sales goals and ensure an inclusive customer experience
- Educate customers and staff on brand values including ethical buying and animal testing positions
- Provide informed product recommendations based on deep product knowledge
- Support the shop manager in all business areas including recruitment, training, and succession planning
- Maintain operational excellence regarding opening/closing procedures, product integrity, and health and safety
- Manage visual merchandising standards and staff scheduling to ensure optimal coverage
Requirements
- 1-3 years of management or supervisory experience in a retail environment
- Strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Knowledge of and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business practices
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with consultation-based customer service models
- Ability to develop and train staff through positive coaching
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite
- Basic HR skills including hiring, scheduling, and performance management
- Fluency in French, Spanish, or other languages
