Assistant Manager - Lease & Fixed Assets

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end lease accounting activities for a global portfolio in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
• Oversee lease abstraction, setup, modifications, and terminations within the CoStar accounting system.
• Manage accounting and reporting for fixed assets, cloud system implementation costs, and capitalized salaries.
• Review lease-related journal entries, reconciliations between CoStar and SAP, and supporting schedules.
• Partner with FP&A, Real Estate, IT, and Legal teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals within a global Center of Excellence (COE).
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and process optimization.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience in a multinational organization.
• Deep expertise in lease accounting under ASC 842 and IFRS 16.
• Proficiency with lease administration systems such as CoStar or similar platforms.
• CA Inter or CMA certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Proven experience in fixed asset accounting and month-end close processes.
• Strong experience leading teams and managing workloads in a shared services environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• CA or CPA certification.
• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Hands-on experience with SAP and SAC.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
