About the role
Responsibilities
- Define, lead, and monitor global supplier and category strategies for finished goods, specifically Hand Tools (Hardlines and Screwdrivers).
- Manage direct material spend of approximately $50M and drive year-over-year productivity and working capital goals.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key global suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.
- Lead the supplier selection process through formal RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes.
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, service level agreements, and price adjustments.
- Drive program management for core initiatives in productivity, working capital, and supplier performance.
- Utilize modern purchasing tools such as eRFQ, eAuctions, and Should Costing to create TCO value.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5-10 years of experience in Global Procurement or Strategic Sourcing organizations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in category strategy or material field strategy.
- Proven track record in supplier selection, management, and contract negotiations.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Power BI, and Smartsheet.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and financial skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a global, multi-cultural matrix environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally 10–20% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Master's degree in Supply Chain.
- CPIM or CSCMP certification.
- PMP certification.
- Six Sigma or Lean/Kaizen certification.
- Multi-lingual capability.
