Assistant Manager, Insurance

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional initiatives between Legal, Anti-Fraud, Product, and Business Intelligence to procure insurance policies and design workflows.
• Own and continuously improve the proprietary incident reporting system and approval flows through automation.
• Partner with Legal and leadership to build compliant company-level frameworks for Driver & Goods Protection and Organized-Crime Detection.
• Design and roll out executable claim workflows tailored to distinct local regulations across multiple global markets.
• Utilize data analytics to detect, monitor, and mitigate insurance fraud and suspicious activities.
• Collaborate with Anti-Fraud teams to translate strategies into actionable enforcement workflows for platform operations.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of professional experience in Insurance, Trust & Safety, Risk Management, or Asset Protection.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Supply Chain, Risk Management, Criminology, or a related field.
• Proven track record in insurance portfolio management and building operational frameworks from scratch.
• Strong data analytics capability to track risk patterns and formulate proactive solutions.
• Full professional fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional qualifications such as ANZIIF or ACII.
• Experience managing insurance or claims programs within a digital platform environment (e.g., On-Demand Delivery, Ride-Hailing, or E-commerce).
• Deep understanding of anti-fraud mechanics, identity verification, and syndicate abuse patterns.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and high-turnover gig workforce dynamics.
