Assistant Manager - India Tax and Finance

Responsibilities

• Oversee all SEZ compliances, including MPR, APR, and Softex filings, as well as invoice endorsements for materials and services.
• Manage non-STPI compliances, license renewals, and associated obligations.
• Handle the debonding of assets during transfers or sales from the SEZ unit and coordinate with CHA for import clearances.
• Generate e-way bills for asset movement and secure regulatory approvals for the inward and outward movement of materials.
• Address notices and queries issued by the SEZ department and manage the renewal of SEZ approvals.
• Administer banking payments, ensuring all controls and checks are maintained according to agreed procedures.
• Book bank journals within the accounting ERP system and maintain the Customs Bond Register.
• Facilitate internal and statutory audits by maintaining proper documentation and working papers.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external advisors to ensure regulatory compliance and contribute to process automation projects.

Requirements

• Graduate or CA Inter qualification.
• 5-6 years of relevant experience specifically in SEZ compliances and reporting.
• Strong, in-depth understanding of the SEZ ACT.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks against tight deadlines and work effectively in a cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Hyperion Smartview.
• Experience with automation tools such as Power BI or Power Automate.
