Assistant Manager – Inbound Warehouse Operations

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily inbound warehouse activities including receiving, unloading, sorting, and put-away operations
• Verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, transporters, and suppliers to ensure smooth inbound flow
• Monitor inventory accuracy and ensure timely system updates in WMS/ERP
• Manage warehouse space utilization and storage planning
• Lead and supervise warehouse staff, supervisors, and forklift operators
• Ensure strict adherence to FIFO/FEFO and stock handling procedures
• Track inbound KPIs such as receiving productivity and unloading turnaround time
• Investigate and resolve receiving issues, shortages, damages, or discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and operational SOPs
• Support audits and stock counts while driving process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5–8 years of warehouse experience
• 2+ years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role
• Strong knowledge of ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Proven skills in inventory control, team leadership, and problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within FMCG, retail, logistics, or distribution environments
