Assistant Manager Housekeeping

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet Fairmont standards
• Supervise and manage the housekeeping team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and common areas
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment
• Respond to guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping services
• Implement and maintain health, safety, and hygiene protocols
• Liaise with Front Office, Maintenance, and Guest Services departments
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and budget reports
• Ensure compliance with environmental sustainability and green housekeeping practices

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping operations
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
• Proven track record in a luxury hotel or hospitality environment
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping standards and cleaning protocols
• Proficiency in hotel management systems and housekeeping software
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification or diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality Management
• Experience with international luxury hospitality brands
• Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices
• Experience in staff recruitment and development
