About the role
Responsibilities
- Communicate the restaurant's vision to all team members and lead by example
- Monitor and achieve technical service and detail standards
- Build and maintain relationships with guests, team members, and senior management
- Foster and maintain a high-quality bar program
- Conduct recruitment, selection, training, and development initiatives
- Manage performance and provide employee coaching
- Assist with tracking sales, invoicing, and inventory management
- Coach the management team on conducting service briefings
- Manage staff scheduling based on service needs
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of direct restaurant management experience in high-volume fine dining
- Valid Smart Serve Certification
- WSET Level 2 (Intermediate) Certification or equivalent wine/beverage knowledge
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada
