About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the Financial Controller and Manager in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting and control activities
  • Deliver Month End closure (MEC) activities, including P&L and Balance Sheet finalization
  • Manage the timely closing of local accounting books and BPC group submissions in accordance with group timelines
  • Lead budget and reforecast preparation requirements and manage BPC submissions
  • Drive balance sheet reconciliations, risk analysis, and the implementation of appropriate controls
  • Support specialist finance activities including taxation, VAT, treasury, insurance, and FX hedging exposure management
  • Collaborate with Operational and Commercial Finance teams to improve financial processes and compliance
  • Assist in the external audit process by gathering documentation and supporting materials
  • Perform testing to support annual J-SOX controls effectiveness attestation and manage the annual controls self-certification process
  • Supervise the execution of lower-risk activities and provide training and development for the team

Requirements

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with 4 to 7 years of post-qualification experience in Accounting, Consolidation, or Financial reporting
  • Prior Big 4 audit experience is required
  • Proficiency in technical accounting and IFRS standards
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across different regions
  • High level of responsibility, agility, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SAP BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation)
  • Experience using the Blackline tool
