About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a diverse range of events including conferences, weddings, banquets, and corporate functions
- Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue setup, catering, audiovisual requirements, and guest accommodations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure exceptional service delivery
- Oversee event budgets, negotiate with vendors, and manage costs to maximize profitability
- Supervise and train events team members, including coordinators and support staff
- Coordinate with housekeeping, food and beverage, security, and maintenance departments for seamless execution
- Conduct site inspections and prepare detailed event proposals and contracts
- Monitor event quality and address issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Identify sales opportunities and collaborate with the sales team on promotional strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in event planning or hotel event management
- Proven track record of executing 50+ events annually
- Strong knowledge of event logistics and hospitality operations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
